A little history about Chester Eastgate Clock

The East Gate Clock in Chester is a landmark clock located in the city of Chester, England. It was built in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, and is situated above the East Gate, one of the entrances to the old Roman walls of the city. The clock is known for its unusual design, which features a double-faced clock with both Roman and Arabic numerals, as well as a figure of a robed woman, known as "Father Time," who strikes the bell with a mace every hour. Today, the East Gate Clock is considered one of Chester's most iconic attractions and is a popular spot for tourists visiting the city.
